Boys Basketball

West Bladen 73, South Brunswick 64

The Knights went on a 19-8 run in the fourth quarter and came from two down to pick up the win.

Devonte Smith led West Bladen with 23 points. Monjharvis Walls led the Cougars with 21.

South Brunswick (3-7, 0-1) plays at East Bladen on Monday. West Bladen (6-6) plays West Brunswick on Friday.

East Duplin 39, Topsail 35 (OT)

The Panthers came from six down in the third quarter  to force overtime. 

Montell Stallings led the way for East with 11 points.

Topsail was led by Trevor Savidge with 17.  

Topsail (6-4) plays South Lenoir on Friday. 

Girls Basketball

West Bladen 42, South Brunswick 29 

The Knights used a 13-2 run in the second quarter to  keep the Cougars winless on the season.

Haley Cox led West Bladen with eight points and Ta’Chondria Bryant led the Cougars with 10.

South Brunswick (0-9, 0-1) plays at East Bladen on Monday. West Bladen (9-3, 2-1) plays West Brunswick on Friday.
