Hoggard advanced to the championship game for the second straight year by outlasting Ashbrook, 48-46, Friday night.
The Vikings held the lead for almost the entire game behind Trevor Singletons' game-high 20 points and nine rebounds. Singleton also had two blocks and two assists.
Ashbrook, down to just nine players after four were sent home for conduct detrimental to the team, struggled to defend in the post.
But the Green Wave clawed back into the game late. Hoggard led by eight points early in the third quarter, but Ashbrook went on a 6-0 run to cut the gap to two points.
"The game got very physical in the fourth quarter and we had a hard time scoring inside because of that," Hoggard coach Brett Queen said. "But our guys did a good job of battling.
Hoggard made matters worse by missing three of its last four free throws in the final two minutes, but Ashbrook was unable to come up with a game-tying bucket. The Green Wave turned it over twice and a running shot with time expiring rimmed out.
