The Vikings advanced into the second round on a 26-point, 10-rebound performance from Trevor Singleton.

Hoggard led 25-13 at the half before the Lions used an 11-4 run to start the third quarter to close the gap to 29-24. But the Vikings closed out the period on an 8–1 run and pulled away in the fourth.

Joe O'Donnell added 13 for Hoggard and Collin Clark led Fredrick Douglas with 12 points.

The Vikings (4-4) will face Ashbrook on Friday in the second round.
