Topsail 49, Jacksonville 41

Tyler Hagan led the way for the Pirates with 17 points and Matt Gilgo added 10 as they bounced back from a 32-point loss and evened their record. Topsail (1-1) plays Pender on Friday.

Girls Basketball

E. Bladen 47, St. Pauls 34

The Eagles battled back from a five-point halftime deficit and outscored St. Paul's 30-11 in the second half. They were led by Asha Graham with 12 points, and Melissa Macon added 10. East Bladen (3-0) plays Union on Friday.
