The Cape Fear Academy boys basketball team used a 14-0 run to start the third quarter against Harrells Christian Academy Thursday night en route to a 55-38 victory.
The score was knotted at 25 heading into the third quarter, when, paced by their defense, the Hurricanes jumped out to a 39-25 lead. They held the Harrells Christian offense to just four points in the quarter.

"We came out and played with a lot more energy; played together. It's not just every man doing it, it's the way we're doing it."

The Crusaders got 12 points from both Matt Maready and Connor Bullard.
Cape Fear is now 12-10 overall and 5-3 in Cape Fear Independent Conference play, currently good for third place in the standings.
